Discovery

We met with the client during the discovery phase to understand their needs and preferences. We discussed the client's business goals, target audience, brand identity, and the functionality they require in their e-commerce website. We also conducted a competitive analysis to evaluate the features and design elements of similar jewellery e-commerce websites.

Front-End and Back-end Design

We began the design phase based on the findings from the discovery phase. We created a sitemap and wireframes that mapped out the website's structure and functionality. This is a highly collaborative and iterative process to ensure the user journey for every persona has been accounted for.

We then moved on to the visual design for the customer-facing website, creating a mood board to define the website's look and feel. Once that was finalized, we created a design system that would become the framework for the entire website.

Because this was a custom platform, we also worked on the user experience and interface design for the admin panel to ensure they could update products seamlessly.

A successful e-commerce website requires a user-friendly design, functionality that meets the user's needs, a quick and easy checkout process, and secure payment options.

Front-end and Back-end Development

After the design was approved, we began the PHP - CI framework development phase. The database was constructed to accommodate the client’s product categories and requirements while ensuring all the security measures are in place for data privacy. We also built a feature for dynamic pricing based on the country/currency selected.

We optimized the website for speed and performance for better user experience, improved search engine rankings, and higher conversion rates.
