Our ongoing partnership with FlightApp began in 2021. Initially, we were hired to redesign their existing Manager App, which had faced challenges.
We took over and successfully revamped the Manager App, delivering a product that exceeded their expectations. Following this, we designed the Pilot and Owner App from scratch, ensuring a seamless and user-friendly experience.
The app should provide a seamless, intuitive experience, allowing users (jet owners, operators, pilots and passengers) to easily manage all aspects of private jet operations. This includes booking flights, monitoring schedules, tracking maintenance, and accessing relevant services with minimal friction. It should ensure users can accomplish their tasks with a few taps or clicks.
The UI should reflect the luxury associated with private jet services. This means creating a visually sophisticated design for the end users while ensuring the interface remains clean and easy to navigate.

Elegant, luxury-oriented interface design
We employed our user-centric design approach to ensure seamless navigation and an efficient user experience. We started with business discovery and competitor research, analysing similar interfaces in the aviation and service sectors to identify best practices and opportunities for improvement. Based on these insights, we mapped out user flows to streamline the user tasks. The UI design focused on simplicity and clarity, using clean visual elements and a minimalist colour palette. Usability testing further refined interactions, ensuring an intuitive and user-friendly experience.
For the private jet management web app for managers, we faced the challenge of inheriting an incomplete project with inconsistent design and a fragmented user experience. Our first priority was to clean up the existing design, ensuring consistency across all screens and elements. We then focused on updating the UX, addressing lengthy and broken processes that hindered efficiency. Throughout, we carefully added new features that enhanced functionality without overhauling the design, allowing us to maintain timelines and avoid disrupting ongoing work. The result was a more cohesive, streamlined platform that improved usability while staying on track with project goals.
Building on the positive feedback from the mobile app’s dark UI, phase two involved recommending a dark UI for the Manager App to achieve a more refined and modern look.

Our design prioritised quick access to important information, with features to view, verify, and approve data seamlessly.

Since pilots require the least access to features compared to managers and owners, we concentrated on providing quick and easy access to messages for trip related communication, trip expenses, squawk reporting, and passenger verifications.
