Goldie is revolutionising online shopping by eliminating the guesswork of finding the perfect size.

Founded with the mission to empower women with confidence in their online purchases, Goldie uses an algorithm-based fit finder to match users’ measurements to the ideal size every time. By combining technology and personalised solutions, Goldie aims to make online shopping an enjoyable, stress-free experience for women.

Product Scope

Fit Goldie collaborated with Bokaap Design to achieve the following key goals:

GOAL 1

Understanding the pain points of women shopping online and uncovering behaviours to guide design decisions.

GOAL 2

Crafting a user-friendly and visually engaging experience that aligns with the brand’s quirky and fun style.

GOAL 3

Implementing the back-end infrastructure, including the algorithm-based fit finder, for a seamless user experience.

Design Language

The design style for Fit Goldie was crafted to resonate with women aged 21 and above, blending a playful yet sophisticated aesthetic. Bright colours, hand-drawn elements, and bold typography were incorporated to create an approachable, fun, and stylish brand identity. These elements infused the platform with personality, making it more engaging and memorable for users.

It was a pleasure to work with Bokaap on our custom coded website. The custom design and coding transformed our vision for a complex fit calculator into a stunning website!

Niraali did a great job partnering with us by adding her own user experience expertise on our product strategy, as well as keeping the project well managed from start to finish.

Bokaap was also extremely flexible about scheduling around conflicts and differing time zones and jumping in to help with road bumps as needed.

The user experience was designed to prioritise simplicity and familiarity, making it easy for users to find their perfect fit while reflecting Fit Goldie’s quirky and fun brand personality. Key elements of the design included:

Fit Finder as the Centrepiece: The website was designed with the Fit Finder as the focal point. Users are immediately prompted to enter their measurements through a prominently displayed calculator, offering personalised size recommendations upfront.
Familiar Product Listing Experience: To ensure users felt comfortable navigating the platform, the product listing experience was crafted to resemble familiar e-commerce layouts, providing a seamless shopping journey.
Encouraging Sign-Ups for Personalisation: To continue their journey and receive tailored recommendations, users are prompted to sign up and input their measurements. This step ensures the experience is personalised and aligned with their preferences.
Responsive Design for All Devices: The platform was optimised for mobile, tablet, and desktop, ensuring users enjoy a consistent and intuitive experience regardless of their device.
A Quirky and Fun Interface: Playful micro-interactions, vibrant visuals, and a cheerful tone of copy were integrated into every aspect of the interface, creating a cohesive and enjoyable experience that blends functionality with fun.
